Manuel Valls, french prime minister, and Geneviève Fioraso, secretary of state, inaugurated the Oncopole this Friday October 10th in Toulouse. This large complex includes the “Institut Universitaire pour le Cancer” by JP. Viguier and the Research Center on Cancer in Toulouse – CRCT – by VIB Architecture with Duffau&Associés.

The CRCT is a building designed specifically for Inserm to conduct fundamental research on Cancer. The specificity of the project lies in its immediate proximity to the clinic and the footpath that links them together.

Early feedback from firsts researchers that have recently moved into their new laboratories is that the building is really pleasant to work in.

All this is really good news for VIB architecture considering this 13 000m² high-tech building has been a major project for the office for over 5 years.
