Heavy transformation of a Mail Sorting Center into an Urban Logistics Hub (parcels).

We transformed a mail sorting center into an urban logistics hub around a state-of-the-art modern industrial process. It includes the renovation of office spaces, refurbishment of the entrance and common areas, installation of vehicle access ramps to upper floors,  façade restoration, asbestos removal, and fire safety upgrades.

This extensive renovation of a 16,000m² sorting center aligns with La Poste’s ongoing societal and environmental transformation.

Building on the imposing structure of the existing facility, we introduced a more open and transparent interpretation of its activities—both day and night. We thought it should foster collaboration and collective engagement by creating new shared spaces such as a communal hall and break rooms.

We reimagined the entrance hall as a spacious, multi-level volume within the existing structure, designed to enhance interactions and connections between blue-collar and white-collar employees.

The logistics platform has been adapted for two-level accessibility, enabling better space optimisation, reduced operational costs, improved energy efficiency, and a minimized carbon footprint. 95% of the existing floors have been preserved as part of the sustainability-driven approach.
